Rebel's Christmas Trolley Dash Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Entries are open from 31 October to 06 November.

By entering this competition, you, as “the Participant” hereby accept and agree to the following terms and conditions which will govern the competition.

Furthermore, the Participant verifies that he/she is unaware of any reason legally prohibiting the Participant from entering this competition and if the competition requires the submission of photographs, artwork, or images of people, or of anything else that requires consent, that the Participant has the necessary consent and authority to do so if required. Personal information provided by participants will be used in accordance with Rebel Sport’s privacy policy. By entering this competition, participants agree to the possibility of undergoing a police vetting process if selected as a winner. Winners must consent to this vetting process to claim any prize. Failure to consent to or pass the police vetting will result in disqualification, and an alternative winner may be chosen.

Any Participant who does not abide by these rules may be disqualified from the competition at any time. Rebel Sport reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

These rules can only be modified by the Promoter in a written revision to these rules or any other potential official competition communication methods reasonably calculated to reach a majority of potential Participants. The decision of Rebel Sport in all matters relating to the competition is final.

This competition is only open to NZ residents aged 18+. The winners will be required to verify this.

Participation

The Promoter of this competition is Rebel Sport. No person who is a director, employee, tenant, tenant staff member, agent of, or consultant to the Promoter, or who is a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner, or associate to a director, employee, tenant, tenant staff member or agent of or consultant to the Promoter or the sponsor is eligible to participate in this competition.

This competition will run from 31st October 2024 to 6th November 2024. The winners will be contacted via phone call within seven working days from the date of the announcement.

Entries

1. Only entries received via the Rebel Sport website will be accepted.
2. Entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 23:59 on 6th November 2024. No late entries will be accepted.
3. Entrants should select from 1 of these stores - Auckland (Morningside), Tauranga, Wellington (Petone), Christchurch, Dunedin. One winner will be chosen per store. 

Event

4. The Christmas Trolley Dash will take place in the winning participant’s selected store between 6am and 9am on December 4th, 2024.
5. The winning participant(s) are responsible for their own travel to the store for the event and any other associated costs.
6. Winning participants must follow the instructions of the store representative during the Christmas Trolley Dash.
7. During the event, all participants must adhere to any health and safety briefings provided.
8. Winning participants participate in the Christmas Trolley Dash at their own risk.
9. Rebel Sport is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from participation in the Christmas Trolley Dash.
10. Winners will be given a total of 90 seconds to complete the Christmas Trolley Dash .
11. High-value items priced over $300 will be limited to 1 per contestant and other items will be limited to 3 per item to ensure fairness and prevent the clearing of entire shelves. Participants are restricted to one watch and one pair of sunglasses each.
12. All items must fit in the participants trolley.
13. The maximum monetary value of all items provided under this promotion shall not exceed $5,000 at full retail price. This cap applies to the total value of all items. Should the basket size exceed $5,000 participants will have the opportunity to select which items they wish to put back after the Trolley Dash.
14. If agreed upon with the Rebel Sport team before the event, winning participants may bring a small support crew. Pre-approval is imperative.
15. This support crew is not allowed to assist during the 90-second trolley spree.

 Prizes

15. The prize is a 90-second shopping spree around a selected Rebel Sport store with the above terms and conditions.
16. The winners will be drawn randomly on 7th November 2024. If a winner cannot be contacted within two working days of the announcement or chooses to decline the prize, then another winner will be drawn.
17. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and is not redeemable for cash.
18. Participants who receive prizes through the Trolley Dash may request a size exchange after the Trolley Dash. Exchanges are permitted only for the exact same product and are subject to available stock. Exchanges must be made at the event. 

Media/ Promotion

18. The winning participants in the Christmas Trolley Dash will be filmed and shared on Rebel Sport’s own social channels and with media, and may be required to interview and speak to the camera before and post-shopping spree.
19. Participants must be available for media interviews, totalling a maximum of three interviews. Interviews will take place in the weeks before the event and within 48 hours following the event day.
